Description
"British Empire War Tax Stamps & Their Usages"Self-running eBook CD-ROM (for Windows-based PC´s) containing several hundred scans of the award winning exhibit (Silver & Vermeil at TEXPEX and Grand-Award at Mid-Cities Stamp Club); sold directly by the author / exhibitor.
Includes all exhibit pages (more than 160) that have been shown (at one point or another) are included on this self-running CD-ROM.
This exhibit covers all British Empire "WAR TAX" stamps (those designated with "MR" numbers in Scott´s Stamp catalogues), as well as some of the revenue war tax stamps issued by Canada.
The various WarTax stamps from British Empire entities were primarily issued around World War I (although North Borneo issued them in World War II and Bahrain in 1970´s) to help pay for their War efforts.
The stamps are generally easy to find mint (many collectors bought them); however, finding them used on covers or postcards can be quite a challenge, especially to find them "properly" used (ie: not "philatelically" used).
This exhibit shows a wide range of various War Tax covers and cards (several hundred of them). The countries and colonies covered are:
Antigua
Bahamas
Bahrain
Barbados
Bermuda
British Guiana
British Honduras
Canada
Cayman Islands
Ceylon
Dominica
Falkland Islands
Fiji
Gibraltar
Gilbert & Ellice Islands
Gold Coast
Grenada
Jamaica
Malta
Montserrat
New Zealand
North Borneo
St. Helena
St. Kitts/Nevis
St. Lucia
St. Vincent
Trinidad & Tobago
Turks & Caicos Islands
Virgin Islands
There are also pages showing the various War Tax stamps themselves, along with information about the number of printings and the respective war tax acts (where known); these pages can also be used as Album Pages!
Many years of research and several thousand dollars have gone into this exhibit, and it can now be yours for a low price. --> FREE SHIPPING within the USA!
Thanks in advance; if you have any interest at all in the War Tax stamps, you´ll find a lot of interesting material to view here (and you can view it at your leisure, unlike at stamps shows where the lighting isn´t good and you get a backache from standing or kneeling to view an exhibit)!
Important note: This eBook contains self-running software designed for Windows operating systems. It will run from a CD-ROM drive on Windows Vista, 7, 8 and 10. It will NOT work on MacIntosh computers except certain older OS-X versions (although the individual JPG files that make up the exhibit should be viewable by any system.
